? Lately, she has been assigning you out to a trial judge prior to jury selection. You then make a schedule with the trial judge. The trial judge may be available immediately or have other cases already booked. Ive heard that lawyers have been told to come back months later by the trial judge. I was assigned to a trial judge on 3/16 and Im not picking until 4/13. But my partner was assigned a trial judge and got sent out to pick the same day.
Bottom line- be ready for anything.

I appeared in front of Judge Fischer in Nassau on Monday, and to our surprise, she sent us for jury selection on June 11 despite both counsel stating there were outstanding discovery items. The appearance is titled Trial Scheduling Conference on e-track. Does anyone know if that means we will pick a jury and then proceed to trial immediately thereafter, or if a trial date will be set further out?
