A Foundation Built for Defense Counsel
The New York State Medical Defense Bar Association was established over 25 years ago to provide a dedicated forum for defense focused on medical liability defense in New York.
Since its founding, the Association has grown to include more than 250 attorneys representing healthcare providers, hospitals and medical professionals across the state, expanding its geographic reach across New York’s judicial districts and developing new resources for its members.

How Membership Works
Membership is limited to attorneys engaged in the defense of medical liability matters in New York State. The Association is designed for attorneys representing healthcare providers, hospitals, medical professionals, and related entities.
Prospective members submit an application for review by the Board. Approved applicants are notified of their acceptance and issued an invoice for annual membership dues.
