Subject: Federal Judge Strikes defendant pleading
FYI, a federal court judge just dismissed a defendant’s answer due to an attorney using made up AI citations. The attorney was given a chance to fix it and did not.
AI can be an excellent resource; however, we must be extremely careful because the Courts are encountering this issue more and are striking pleadings.
