Lately, they have been assigning you to a trial judge. If the judge has other trials scheduled already, you may not get a trial date for a few weeks or a few months.

Looking for information of anyone who has recently been on trial in Nassau.
I have been told that on a date set for trial we can either be sent to the jury part, select a jury and then be assigned a trial judge OR we can be sent to a judge for trial who may then set a date depending on their schedule.
Does anyone know if either or both is correct?
I have trials 4/14 and 4/20 so it is crunch time.
Thanks
Maryanne
